endings

Endings (PG)
Yoochun/Junsu
150 words
"yoochun-ah," he says. "do you believe in happy endings?"
I didn't think this was very good, but I liked the idea of it :)
endings

junsu flushes as yoochun reaches out a slim hand to stop him from closing the book.

"what are you reading?" yoochun asks, curious. he tugs the book from junsu's fingers and flips it to the brightly-coloured cover.

junsu opens his mouth. "i -"

"cinderella?" yoochun hides a laugh as he glances at junsu's bright-red face.

"stop laughing at me." junsu buries his head in his pillow. yoochun smiles, opening the storybook again and starts reading.

when he reaches the end, junsu lifts his head up to gaze at yoochun with bright eyes.

"are you crying?" yoochun asks, incredulous.

junsu sniffs, rubbing the back of his arm against his eyes. "yoochun-ah," he says. "do you believe in happy endings?"

yoochun thinks for a minute. "no," he says.

junsu's face falls. "why not?" he demands.

yoochun smiles. "true love doesn't have happy endings," he says. "because true love doesn't end."

junsu's warm fingers curl around his.
